About Us
The UF Health and UF combined Public Functions team is responsible for the planning and execution of over 100 events each year. Our team assists with special events and programs for purposes including donor cultivation and recognition, alumni engagement and stewardship, media outreach, and recognition of faculty, staff and/or achievements. Examples include groundbreakings, building dedications, meal functions, awards ceremonies, tours, news conferences and other special events.
The Public Functions team is also responsible for all MyCommunity Fundraising Programs. This program helps any outside organization, business, individual or group that will raise funds to benefit an entity of UF Health. MyCommunity Fundraising Programs should fit the mission and promote the appropriate image for UF Health.
Our team works cooperatively with colleagues, community volunteer committees, faculty and staff, and with board members to create events that promote the mission and objectives of the University of Florida Health Science Center. The Public Functions team sets the precedent for all events across the HSC and assists as necessary in planning, vendor selection and theme creation to maximize their impact.
